HELL IS COMING! Phish Pin!

I shed light on an inside joke about the song Halley's Comet with this Phish pin.
Sometimes if you listen closely it might sound like they are singing "Hell is coming" instead of Halley's Comet.
So perhaps it's about a guy who's pissed off and he going down to the central part of town with his HELL IS COMING sign.

And the people are yelling back at him -
"How could you know that I lived in a desperate world?
How could you dream that we were all made out of stone?
What is the truth, what is the faithful lasting proof?
What is the central theme to this everlasting spoof?"

And my favorite line of the song "Don't be blamin', Eat my Kazoo"

The 1st leg of Phish summer tour 2011 was incredible!
So many kind people and new friends and adventures!
Phish really squeezed the Gamhendge saga faster than ever before
and Superball IX is just around the corner!

I met so many amazing people and collected a huge pile of new Phish pins!

I finally scraped it together to post after getting my mind completely blown by Phish in my hometown Miami on New Years Eve! I was sitting only 50 feet behind the stage and still thought Sara was playing drums! LOL!

The mystery Ship that ensued was complete madness and im so grateful for all the kind folk who made it happen! What an amazing way to bring in the new year! With TAB tour coming up it will be hard to resist the road so I may see some of you in Feb!

I have been very busy working and making phish pins!

The 8 legs and sides of the Pin represent the past 8 Phish festivals in chronological order.

There are 8 icons trapped in the web representing the past 8 Phish Festivals.

1. An Airplane for 'The Clifford Ball'

Soul Survivor

What an an amazing weekend! The Exile on Main St kicked ass and made me laugh during Soul Survivor as I realized the play on words it being the last surviving album on Phish Website.

The good vibes flowed like heady nuggets that California is so famous for! The camping weather was perfect ,the campground grass was like a manicured golf course and the venue was absolutely beautiful with trippy art sculptures and Burble, and all the amenities one could ask for. It was a complete success and probably the most enjoyable festival I have ever had the pleasure to attend.

I sold a bunch of pins and picked up a couple nice ones as well.
We are getting ready for fall tour and NYE in my hometown Miami!

So far 2009 has been one of the best years of my entire life!
I look forward to orbiting again with all of ewe very soon!

The last 24 hours have been amazing !
So much brainstorming going on. The pin designs for Festival 8 have evolved into monsters!
My Festival 8 design has invoked the phenomenon of synchronicity as our rough drafts we send each other look almost identical! Great minds think alike!
We're sharing the same exact thoughts, even writing it down and coming up with the same graphic. Absolutely phenomenal work guys... we are crushing it!

The ideas are just pouring out one after another. As one idea finishes it jogs loose another,
and the sketches and scribblings on my desk are piling up . I am amassing an arsenal of esoteric ideas for Phish pins and its become an obsession. There's nothing I can say to make it stop...

Now that Phish is back the creative juices are flowing more than ever. In the past I focused mainly on posters and stickers and t shirts but when Tanner showed me the Lizard Pin he and Mike made I knew I had to team up with these guys and start creating some pins of my own. If my knowledge serves me correctly,
Phish makes references to TIME and increments of time more than any other subject matter.

Here are some off the top of my head...Vultures is a great example but there are so many...

In and Out of Focus, Time Turns Elastic

Listening to 3.0 Phish 2009 you may have noticed that the music is alot slower than usual. There seems to be a deliberate effort by Trey to focus more on the individual note rather than playing many notes. This bending / shaping of the note has resulted in a kind of 'drunk sound' to the notes he plays. There are no super fast ripping backwards solos or looping effects .
Phish is slowly pulling back on the sling shot. They are back in the time laboratory slowing down the music, altering the time in which we experience it . I believe this is done purposely so they can pick up the momentum show after show to create a more profound effect for us musically. The music will always get better because they are deliberately adding intensity and speed to each show very much like they did in the past and this summer..... Time turns Elastic...

What album will Phish play for Halloween?

With Festival 8 / Halloween looming in the distance, and today being a day for reflection, I decided to open a forum where we can exchange thoughts and ideas about Phish and all that it encompasses . Its really amazing to have Phish back in our lives and reconnecting with old friends and new ones has been rejuvenating to say the least. The creative juices are flowing again and I am pleased to say we are in the process of making some special new commemorative pins for the upcoming shows and a poster for Festival 8.
Since this is the first entry into the phishpins blog, I must start by thanking Tanner who took the the object and started the game....
When he showed me the Commemorative Lizard pin that he and Monk had designed, all the creative lightbulbs went off and I knew it was the beginning of a great new friendship covered with pins and a rabid love for Phish. Ideas began to erupt out of my skull like a volcano and i knew I had to start creating some special Phish pins of my own. In fact I have created many designs just in the last few days of brainstorming!

I can already tell that as a team we are a creative juggernaut that can't be stopped.

I would also like to thank Steve and Rob for their help in making all of these dreams....

We are working on some very special pieces for Festival 8.
We look forward to unveiling them to you all in person : )
